I’m quite excited at the moment. I’m on the verge of spending lots of money on all sorts of nice things! Last night I went to a Colchester Mini Club meet, at which I was offered a nice black carbon-fibre dashboard to go in my Mini. Just what I’ve been looking for! They normally retail for about £150 new, but this one is second hand (it was only used for 3 months though) so this guy is selling it to me for £40!! And he’s going to help me install it! So on Saturday afternoon I shall be popping off to Clacton to put a dashboard in, and I’ll probably try and put my CD player in at the same time. Just got to hope that the CD player doesn’t object to a bumpy ride…

Off the back of that I’ve got thinking again about other things I’d like to do with Neddy, and made a list of about 15 items I’d like to invest in to make the car a little more special. Nothing too expensive (apart from the wheels), and nothing that should push the insurance premium up, just little cosmetic things like bits of chrome here and there.

In addition to all that, I’m on the verge of finding a nice new camera! I promised myself a new camera in time for Phil and Jenny’s wedding, as I’m one of the official wedding photographers, and I just don’t think my current camera is up to the job. I’ve been looking around for a while now, and have pretty much settled on the Fuji Finepix S5600, which apparently is a fairly new model. It’s not too expensive (if you know where to look) but has plenty of features to keep me happy! It’s not overflowing with preset programs for every conceivable situation, nor has it got quite as many features as some more expensive cameras, but I’m not a professional photographer, so it should do me fine! And it looks good, which is always an important part of camera-choosing.

I have a fine pix and am very happy with it – will look at your stats in the morning though!
