Bbbbrrrrrr….. it’s ccccold outside! I’ve just been to post some letters, the post box being about 30 seconds from my front door, and I was cold before I even got to it!! And the air smells of snow. The weather reports said to expect snow by the weekend, which could be interesting!

I’ve been having fun with web design today, too. I came up with a couple of rather good-looking designs for one of my clients, so we’ll just have to see which they prefer. Interestingly, I’m finding it easier to put ideas down by sketching them on paper first, which in some ways is a bit old-fashioned, but I find it very useful. Good old pencil and paper – never let me down! I also installed Adobe GoLive today, which is a web design program, but it didn’t appear to do anything that I couldn’t do already, so I don’t think I’ll be using it after all.

Oh and I’ve put some photos up on my photolounge of the Murder Mystery evening last weekend, which was a lot of fun! I’ve also decided that Mitch and Chris J are never to be put in the same room again. It’s just too dangerous for our sanity. In some ways they remind me very much of Joe and Chris T who were in the CU a few years ago. There again, where you got both of them together, the average sanity level in the room plummeted. I was at the World Cafe this week, one of the evening events put on by Christians on Campus as part of the Mission Week, and made the mistake of trying to keep up with a conversation between Mitch and Chris. I won’t even try to explain what they were talking about, it just didn’t make any sense whatsoever. I tried to contribute to the conversation at times, but I just couldn’t keep up, my brain isn’t random enough. On the other hand, I found out last night that I have more quotes on the CampusCrew quotes board than anyone else… not quite sure how that happened, but I reckon it’s more to do with the people who listen to me than what I say!

Hey, now – that’s a pretty neat feature. I didn’t even do a trackback on your URL or anything, I just linked to your blog post here and it automatically did a ‘pingback’! Sweet 🙂 » Blog Archive » Snow is in the air… · 24 November 2005 at 10:10 am

[…] As one of my co-workers remarked yesterday, and as Matthew blogged, “Snow is in the air”. It’s cold. The sky is grey. You can just tell it’s going to snow, sometime…. probably. This is not good news. I don’t mind snow — when you don’t have to be out in it! People who like snow are invariably people who don’t have to drive through it down small country roads and risk life and limb getting into work. Ok that’s probably a slight exaggeration – I wouldn’t risk life and limb to get into work. But still, it isn’t nice having to navigate your way through a heavy fall of snow, especially in the dark.
