I’ve got a bank card. I get money out of the wall with it. That’s what it’s for. I got a new one in the post the other day. But it doesn’t become valid until next month. I wish I’d realised that before I cut up my old card… this month is going to be interesting…

This is what cheques are for! Write yourself one and cash it (or have someone else get money out of the hole in the wall and give them a cheque). Other than that — heehee, you muppet!!!

Easy, just use the new card as you would normally do. If the machine rejects it, ring your bank and complain. Say that you’re too efficient and they’re not. They’ll activate your card for sure!
